A banged-up Magic team received positive news Wednesday: Aaron Gordon is expected to play against Washington. That’ll be key against a Wizards team that has been strong at home (20-12) this season. In fact, Washington has won four of its last five games at home. Still, look for the Magic’s youth to outshine a Wizards team that is the second worst defensively (117.2 points per game) in the NBA.
The Magic have had bad losses on the road lately, including defeats at the hands of the Grizzlies, Cavaliers and Knicks. Those are especially brutal considering their chase for one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. This is not an easy matchup against the Wizards, who are 20-12 ATS at home despite their poor overall record. I’ll take the Wizards to win and cover.
