The Celtics played their best game in almost a month last night at Golden State, and there appeared to be a positive vibe afterward as though the slump of losing five of six games didn't happen. We'll see how that evolves, but the first thing to note is Boston is 3-7 ATS on the back end of back-to-back games. Rested Sacramento has a strong home edge going 11-3 ATS in its last 14 home games. The Celtics' stock rose tremendously after a blowout road win over the Warriors. But Boston faces a similar scenario Wednesday: on the road against a Western Conference team, this time on the second half of a back-to-back. The Kings are the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference, three games behind San Antonio for the final playoff spot. Sacramento is 22-10-1 ATS at home but an even better 9-4 ATS in its last 13 home games. The Celtics are 3-7 ATS on the second half of back-to-backs and 0-3 when playing away-to-away. A 33-point win over Golden State last night could lead to a little bit of a letdown. Take the Kings to cover.

The Kings are a terrific home team, and they're catching the Celtics on the second night of a back-to-back. But it's not a long trip for Boston. The Celts finally played up to their talent level at Golden State, and I think they'll be energized -- not tired. They got up big early and didn't have to tax their starters. Getting away from the high expectations at home and dressing up as an underdog for the second straight night -- it all bodes well for Boston.
