Thompson has allowed a 45 percent hard-hit rate since joining the rotation seven starts ago, and last time out he got hammered by the Brewers, giving up two homers and four earned runs in five innings. Milwaukee has won Wade Miley's last three starts, including last Thursday in St. Louis when he blanked the Cards over six innings.
