I probably shouldn't make a play today after a good Tuesday ... but what fun would that be? Seattle is starting pretty much every healthy regular ahead of their Wild-Card series, while the Tigers are resting a few guys -- including Miguel Cabrera. The pitching matchup favors the M's with lefty Marco Gonzales holding a 3.56 home ERA and Detroit lefty Tyler Alexander 2-6 with a 5.58 ERA on the road. Seattle has won its past six at home vs. a southpaw.

Today is probably the hardest day of the year to bet on considering there are no playoff spots left to be determined and we have no idea how relievers will be deployed. There is also a Wild Card series for the first time ever and it starts on Friday so I don’t think the Mariners will use any top relievers. The Tigers were swept in the doubleheader yesterday but both Marco Gonzales and Tyler Alexander have been hit or miss lately. The Mariners could rest all their top players too. Take the value in the Tigers.
