    Matt's Analysis:

This is one of those series openers where I'm not sure the visiting team cares much. Also, I just watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Cameron Crowe is a genius) and I feel like Alex Wood (I did it again with Cobb, doesn't matter -- they need to be on different teams) is wearing a piano scarf. It's no secret I love the Rox as home dogs and they are -115 to simply to cover against a Giants team at -160 to win outright that is treading water.

    John's Analysis:

I am not really sure why the Giants are such heavy favorites here. They had been winning but that was against teams like the Athletics and Pirates, they just split a home series to the Diamondbacks and head on the road. They are 11-16 since the All-Star break but 3-9 on the road while the Rockies are 8-19 since the All-Star break and 5-7 at home. Jose Urena has been solid this season and Alex Wood has been good against the Rockies. But these bullpens are ranked 28th and 29th since the ASB, and the Rockies have won three of the last four games between these teams, take the value on the Rockies.
