ANALYSIS: There are two main reasons why this line is way off. The first is that the Yankees are coming off playing on Sunday Night Baseball and we know how bad teams have been coming off playing on Sunday Night Baseball, especially when they have to travel. I wish I had the numbers but I think teams are losing at around a 75% rate straight up. The other reason is that the Rays have always seemed to just own Gerrit Cole in his career although he seems to have figured it out this season. There are a couple other things going our way too. DJ Lemahieu was out of the lineup yesterday, so I doubt he’s back in the lineup today. The Yankees have also gone 3-10 in their last 13 games. Ryan Yarbrough will be the primary reliever and he has pitched well against the Yankees this season. I like the value in the Rays.
