I was planning on staying off this game at this value today but then I checked the Twins bullpen usage. All of their top three relievers have pitched three of the last four nights, and they haven’t been 5 pitch outings. They have been lengthy outings, so I highly doubt multiple of them are available, if any. However, they have Chris Archer starting today and he notoriously doesn’t pitch more than five innings even if he’s throwing a no hitter. He also seriously struggles with walks and with a Blue Jays team that sees the zone well, that should run his pitch count up. Kevin Gausman is coming off his best start of the season and the Blue Jays bullpen has actually been very good lately. Take the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays have lost three of their last four games, but they are primed to get back on track here. Kevin Gausman gets the ball and he's been dominant this season, leading the majors with a 2.01 FIP. Last time out, he struck out 10 in eight scoreless innings of one-hit ball. On the other side, Chris Archer has a 9.00 ERA in his last three starts and the Twins bullpen -- despite trade deadline reinforcements -- isn't deep enough to carry the load here. The Jays will feast, so we'll get the -1.5 run line at -105.
