ANALYSIS: Dane Dunning is your classic home/road split pitcher, he is very good at home with a 3.02 ERA and very bad on the road with a 6.03 ERA. He was also originally drafted by the Nationals before being traded to the White Sox in the Adam Eaton deal. The White Sox then traded Dane Dunning to the Rangers for Lance Lynn. He has to have some extra motivation here. Paolo Espino has been very good this season but he has only made two starts, so he shouldn’t be able to go too deep. The Rangers have been playing better lately going 7-5 in their last 12 games while the Nats are 7-14 in June. The Rangers have had the 11th best bullpen in the league in the past month while the Nats have had the 25th ranked bullpen. I like the Rangers at home here.
