Eric Hosmer was out of yesterday’s lineup and Manny Machado was ejected from last night’s game early, and the Cardinals were still only able to win in extra innings. Yu Darvish tends to struggle on the road but he should have success against the righties of the Cardinals. The Padres backend of the bullpen is also rested while the Cardinals shouldn’t have a key reliever or two. The Cards are also giving many players off including Tommy Edman, Yadier Molina and Albert Pujols. Nolan Gorman is also out of the lineup again with lower back stiffness. Take the Padres on the road.
