This is more of a knock on Manny Banuelos than an endorsement of Carlos Carrasco. The Indians lineup is setup nicely to hit left-handed pitching tonight. I love 1-5 in the Indians lineup with Lindor, Mercado, Santana, Luplow and Ramirez all carrying the platoon advantage. It's a large price to pay on the road, but I'm comfortable with it in this matchup.
Suddenly, the Cleveland Indians' quiet bats have been revitalized. Two nights ago they surged back with five runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Red Sox, 7-5. On Wednesday, they kept the momentum going with 14 more runs. On Thursday, look for a return to normalcy for the Indians' bats and for the Under to cash.
It's a steep price, but Manny Banuelos is lucky to have a rotation spot with the way he's pitched. He's allowed 24 earned runs over his last four starts, with eight homers served up. Lay it with the Indians.
Carlos Carrasco has made two starts against the White Sox this season and gone seven innings with no runs both at home and on the road. Manny Banuelos was the opposing pitcher in both those starts and gave up five runs in each game. The Indians bats have picked it up in their last couple games scoring 26 runs in their three-game series against the Red Sox. I like this matchup for the Indians to make it three in a row.
