White Sox starter Dylan Covey had made five starts, and he walks just as many as he strikes out. Covey came to the Sox from Oakland, where he had never made a start above AA. Padres starter Trevor Cahill strikes out a lot of guys, but he also walks almost five per nine innings. He has made two starts outside of California, and he gave up nine runs in 11 1/3 innings.
