There is less than a month left before world football takes a break for the World Cup in Qatar, and there will be a lot of jockeying for position in the top  leagues until then. This weekend's world football slate is highlighted by El Clasico 2022, with Real Madrid hosting Barcelona in a Spanish La Liga match at the Bernabeu on Sunday (10:15 a.m. ET). Last season's top two teams in the English Premier League also square off Sunday, as 10th-place Liverpool try to climb back into the race when they host reigning champion Manchester City at Anfield (11:30 a.m. ET). The MLS Playoffs kick off Saturday, with the top-seeded Philadelphia Union of the East and LAFC in the West getting byes and two games scheduled each day Saturday through Monday.

Barcelona is in first place in La Liga's table, tied with Real Madrid on points but owning a superior goal differential. Real Madrid are a +123 road favorite, with Barcelona a +210 underdog in the latest Barcelona vs. Real Madrid odds from Caesars Sportsbook. A draw is priced at +260, and the Over/Under for total goals scored is 2.5. (For complete soccer coverage and more expert picks, check out our soccer analysis pages

There are many other matches, and each one offers numerous options for bettors to cash in. The paydays can be even bigger if you combine your favorite picks into a parlay. Before you make any soccer picks or parlays, you really have to see what soccer expert Jim Holliman has to say.

Holliman has been a writer and editor for nearly 25 years and grew up with soccer in his blood. He played competitively through high school and has been following the game closely since the 1970's heyday of the North American Soccer League. His interest has expanded worldwide, and his betting approach is centered on crunching the numbers, but he sees the whole field and relies on his instinct. He is 11-16-1 through his first seven weeks of picks for SportsLine, including two 3-1 weeks in the past three.

Holliman has scoured the soccer schedules for Oct. 15-17 and has found value in four best bets. If you combine these four picks into a parlay, you could earn a payout of more than 9-1! The first matchup in the parlay doesn't start until Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET, so there is plenty of time for you to make your soccer picks.

We can tell you that one of the picks Holliman loves is Over 2.5 Goals (-130) in Tottenham vs. Everton in an English Premier League match Saturday. Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have been surging, and star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could finally make a difference for Everton as he returns from injury. Spurs won the last meeting 5-0 in London.

Holliman has three other picks in his parlay that would pay more than 9-1, including a CONFIDENT play on a winner in an MLS playoff matchup. If you combine these picks into the four-leg parlay, you can cash in HUGE! You ABSOLUTELY need to see the expert's predictions before you lock in any soccer picks or parlays of your own.
