Sunday Night Football - Steelers vs. Seahawks line, odds: Pittsburgh expert reveals pick for Week 6 showdown

R.J. White, who is 47-26-3 with his last 76 picks involving the Steelers, has released his pick for Sunday's game between Pittsburgh and Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks attempt to succeed without Russell Wilson for the first time in a decade when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6 on Sunday Night Football. The eight-time Pro-Bowl quarterback injured the middle finger on his throwing hand last week and underwent surgery that will keep him sidelined for at least three games.

Kickoff from Heinz Field is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Pittsburgh is a five-point favorite in the latest Steelers vs. Seahawks odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 43. Before making any Seahawks vs. Steelers picks, you NEED to see which side SportsLine expert R.J. White is on.

White, a CBS Sports fantasy and gambling editor, ended the 2020 season on an 80-59 run on all NFL picks, returning more than $1,400 during that span. He also is outstanding at handicapping the Steelers, going 47-26-3 on his last 76 picks, returning more than $1,800. It's no surprise, as White has cashed huge twice in the world's most prestigious football handicapping competition, the Las Vegas SuperContest. Anyone who has followed his picks has seen HUGE returns.

White knows Pittsburgh (2-3) is struggling offensively this season. The Steelers rank 31st in the NFL in rushing (73.6 yards) and are 27th in both total offense (319.6) and scoring (18.8 points). Veteran Ben Roethlisberger has thrown only six touchdown passes in five games while the team has recorded more than 17 points in just two of its contests.

White also knows Seattle (2-3) will have a quarterback other than Wilson start a game since Tarvaris Jackson, who got the call in the 2011 season finale at Arizona on Jan. 1, 2012 - a 23-20 overtime loss. Geno Smith receives the distinction as he makes his first start since Dec. 3, 2017, when he became the answer to a trivia question by ending Eli Manning's streak of 210 consecutive starts with the New York Giants. The 31-year-old Smith replaced Wilson in last Thursday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams and completed 10-of-17 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Now, White has locked in another confident against-the-spread pick for Steelers vs. Seahawks. We can tell you he's leaning Under, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
