    Providence vs. Villanova odds, line: Proven model reveals college basketball picks for Jan. 29, 2023, Big East matchup

    The Villanova Wildcats will look to continue their dominance over the No. 23 Providence Friars when they meet in Big East Conference play on Sunday. The Wildcats (10-10, 4-5 Big East, who are coming off a 57-49 win at St. John's on Jan. 20, have beaten Providence in eight of the last 10 matchups, including two in a row. The Friars (16-5, 8-2), who defeated Butler 79-58 on Wednesday, are first in the Big East in rebounding margin (+9.6) and offensive rebounding percentage (37.7%). Villanova has a 70-41 edge in the all-time series against Providence.

He scored a season-high 25 points, while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out seven assists in an 81-79 overtime loss to Iowa State Nov. 24 during the Phil Knight Invitational.
