New England Patriots Draw Historically High Win Total

The Patriots have won at least 12 games seven straight years, and sportsbooks have seen enough.
Bovada.lv on Monday opened the Over/Under on New England's regular-season wins at 12.5 -- a shocking figure. It's the highest the sportsbook can recall. A Bovada spokesman says his data goes back to 2009.
The previous high was 12, which New England and Green Bay were assigned before the 2012 season. (The Pats went 12-4 and pushed; the Pack went Under at 11-5).
Not only that, but if you want to bet Over 12.5 wins this season, you'll have to risk $130 for every $100 you want to win. If you want to bet Under, you'll risk $100 to win $100. That means the Over is the favorite in this historical bet.

Bovada.lv was simply reacting to the market. Other sportsbooks that opened New England's win total at 11 or 11.5 immediately drew a ton of Over money and raised their numbers. Sportsbook.ag, for instance, opened at 11.5 and is now dealing 12.5.
New England finished 14-2 last year before winning the Super Bowl in an epic comeback. The Pats retained most key pieces while adding the Saints' top receiver, Brandin Cooks, and the Bills' top corner, Stephon Gilmore.
Not surprisingly, New England is favored in every game this season.
On the other end of the spectrum, Bovada posted 4.5 wins for Cleveland and San Francisco.
