National handicapping champion offers picks for 2020 Purple Martin

One of the nation's most successful horseplayers who once cashed for $150,000 on Kentucky Derby day, Jonathon Kinchen offers his picks for Saturday's Purple Martin Stakes.

Ten fillies are set to enter the starting gate on Saturday for the 2020 Purple Martin Stakes at Oaklawn Park. The Bill Mott-trained Frank's Rockette is the 5-2 morning-line favorite. Post time for the six-furlong sprint is 6:09 p.m. ET.

Before making any 2020 Florida Derby picks, you NEED to see how handicapping champion Jonathon Kinchen has broken down the race.

Kinchen is one of the most successful and recognizable horseplayers in the country today. An analyst for Fox Sports' Saturday at the Races and a co-host of the In the Money Players' Podcast, Kinchen won the National Horseplayers Championship Tour in 2015, a demanding, yearlong series of handicapping events across the country. That same year, he became the only player in history to have both of his entries qualify for the final of the National Horseplayers Championship, considered one of the most prestigious handicapping events in the world.

In addition, Kinchen has scored huge on some of racing's biggest days. At the 2015 Kentucky Derby, he cashed for $150,000 after nailing a Pick 6 and a cold Pick 3 that paid $50,000.

He's currently riding a hot streak for SportsLine. In the Fountain of Youth Stakes in February, Kinchen nailed an $80 win bet on Ete Indien, the third choice in the final odds, which paid a healthy $344. In the Beholder Mile three weeks ago, he gave out a $50 exacta that paid $550. Last week he correctly pegged Tiz the Law to win the Florida Derby.

And on Thursday he hit the late Pick 4 at Oaklawn Park, which paid $221.55.

Now, Kinchen has handicapped the 2020 Purple Martin field, made his picks and constructed his bets.

We can tell you that Kinchen is low on Frank's Rockette, even though she's coming off a career-best performance and is the morning-line favorite. Kinchen is siding elsewhere with his top pick.

However, Kinchen's top pick is a horse who has not seen the kind of early pace she is likely to encounter on Saturday. Kinchen is including this horse in his wagers, and so should you! You NEED to see Kinchen's analysis before making any picks of your own.
