As a Vegas bookmaker, Micah Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting. Now he hands out NASCAR winners to his followers.
Roberts nailed the first two races of the NASCAR playoffs, calling for Brad Keselowski to win at Vegas at 12-1 odds. Three weeks ago at Richmond, he said Kyle Busch was due for his seventh win of the season, and he did just that, taking the checkered after starting from the 11th spot.
Robert is simply capping off an amazing 12-month run picking NASCAR. Recently, he said Kevin Harvick would dominate at Michigan, and he did just that for his seventh win this season. He was all over Busch at Pocono, pointing to not only his 26 career starts there but his motivation to win after a late bump from Harvick the week before. Busch rallied from 28th to win the checkered flag.
Roberts' uncanny picks come as no surprise. In the 2017 NASCAR playoffs, Roberts picked nine of the 10 winners. In 2016, he backed Denny Hamlin (15-1) at the Daytona 500 and took him again at 40-1 at Watkins Glen later that year: Two more victories with epic payouts.
Now Roberts has analyzed Sunday's 1000Bulbs.com (2 p.m. ET), as NASCAR heads to Talladega for the fifth stop in the playoffs. He's released his top 20 finishers in order for the restrictor-plate showdown.
We can tell you he's not picking Kyle Busch, who has only one win in 28 career starts at Talladega.
Instead, Roberts is another driver in the thick of the playoff race to get back on track by winning the NASCAR at Talladega race. Roberts also has two drivers with double-digit odds going deep. Anyone who backs them could hit it BIG.
