As a Vegas bookmaker, Micah Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR betting. Now he hands out NASCAR winners to his followers at SportsLine. And he's already up HUGE in the 2019 season.
Roberts went with Jimmie Johnson as a hefty 25-1 longshot in the season-opening Advance Auto Parts Clash. The result: Johnson survived a huge crash and went on to win as Roberts' followers raked it in big-time.
Roberts entered the 2019 NASCAR season after finishing big-time in the black in 2018. Those who wagered $100 on each of his picks last year have $1,750 in profit to show for it.
His biggest wins came when he went against the grain, taking Brad Keselowski at 12-1 to win the South Point 400 at Las Vegas in the opening race of the NASCAR Playoffs, and going with Joey Logano, also 12-1, to take the First Data 500 at Martinsville in the playoffs. He also nailed four of Kevin Harvick's nine series victories and three of Kyle Busch's nine wins.
Last season capped an astonishing run in which Roberts picked nine of the 10 winners in the 2017 NASCAR Playoffs. Anyone who's following his picks is WAY up year after year.
Now Roberts has analyzed the field for Sunday's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with the green flag being waved at 1 p.m. ET. One shocker: Roberts wants no part of Kyle Larson, one of the Vegas favorites at 8-1 odds. In fact, Roberts projects Larson, who has never won on a 1.5-mile track such as Atlanta's, to barely crack the top 10.
Instead, Roberts says three drivers with 2019 QuikTrip 500 odds of 25-1 longer will make a strong run at the title. His picks will shock many, but anyone who backs them could be in line for a MASSIVE payday.
