Finishing his first novel, "Why Vegas Never Closes," SportsLine expert Michael Rusk has built his name by exploiting flaws in public betting.
With his economics and statistics background, Rusk uses multiple algorithms pooling with recency bias to produce profitable picks. And that's exactly what "The Prodigy" did last year, returning over $3,000 for anybody who followed his MLB selections with $100 bets.
Now, Rusk has evaluated the preseason World Series odds and has revealed his best bet, value plays and teams to avoid. One we'll give away: Rusk likes the Red Sox at 10/1.
"With so much commotion in the AL East, the Red Sox are completely flying under the radar," Rusk told SportsLine members. "Team culture has been revitalized with new skipper and former teammate Alex Cora."
Rusk also loves a team with longer odds than the Red Sox as a value play and is advising that you stay away from one team that Vegas thinks is a top contenders.
