FedEx Cup champion Dustin Johnson highlights a group of elite golfers returning to action this week for the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek, teeing off Thursday in Las Vegas. Before setting your Fantasy golf lineups or betting this tournament, you MUST see data scientist Rick Gehman's power rankings.

With his expansive database of golf statistics, course data and betting odds, Gehman creates advanced models and back-tests them constantly. These models have produced 11 outright winners in the past year -- including 30-1 Webb Simpson at the 2020 RBC Heritage -- plus a $10,000 DraftKings win at The Masters.

At last week's Shriners Hospitals Open, he predicted Matthew Wolff would continue to hang around the top of the leaderboard. The 21-year-old merely went out and posted three eagles in a five-hole stretch during the third round and fell just short of his second tour victory when he lost in a playoff.

A few weeks earlier, at the Corales Puntacana Championship, the top four players in Gehman's rankings all finished tied for 28th or better, including Mackenzie Hughes, who was in contention in the final round before finishing third.

At the Tour Championship to close the regular season, Gehman didn't hesitate on Johnson, putting him at the top of his Fantasy rankings. The result? Johnson went 11 under over the four rounds at East Lake to win by three strokes and take home the $15 million prize.

Now, Gehman has ranked the 30 players for this week's Sanderson Farms Championship. We can tell you he is very high on Jon Rahm, who has proven he can win on tough courses against great competition, with two victories in his past seven starts.

On the other hand, the data guru is staying far away from Brooks Koepka, who won this event in 2018 and has the talent and name recognition to get love from oddsmakers. But Gehman has him barely inside his top 25 because of his layoff to deal with lingering knee issues.

Instead, Gehman is touting a long shot who comes in off a top-10 finish last week and has shot six rounds in the 60s over his past two events. This young international golfer has two tour victories and could be in contention for another one this week in Las Vegas! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before betting this tournament or entering any Fantasy golf lineups.
