Picking a high-profile wide receiver coming off an injury always comes with some risk, so don't make the final call until you see what SportsLine NFL injury analyst Dr. Brandon Bowers has to say.

Dr. Bowers, a Doctor of Physical Therapy currently practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting on northeast side of Columbus, Ohio, completed his undergraduate work at Siena Heights University. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Toledo.

He is currently employed by Athletico Physical Therapy and treats a high volume of high school and collegiate athletes in the clinical setting. He's worked previously for a host of different websites serving as an injury analyst, publishing weekly columns, appearing on podcasts and radio shows to provide injury content.

We can tell you Dr. Bowers says Doug Baldwin's knee injury has "a low probability" to cause a decline in his overall production on the field.

"When considering Baldwin's ability to play and be effective for the Seahawks, this is an injury he could play through during the regular season or the playoffs," Dr. Bowers said. "There is a moderate likelihood this injury bothers Baldwin this season, however, a low probability it causes a decline in his overall production on the gridiron. During the season, this is an injury that can be managed via physical therapy, and possible corticosteroid injections, if needed, by team physicians."

Dr. Bowers also has a full breakdown of the challenges Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) will face in 2018, as well as medical perspective on other high-profile wide receivers coming off significant injuries.
