Unless you've got a roster stacked with high-end pitchers you'll start against any matchup, you'll probably need to keep a close eye on the schedule as you get ready to set your lineup for the upcoming week. You'll need to know which of your starters have bad matchups, which are set for two starts in the upcoming week, and which fringe-y options might just be worth going out to grab on waivers.

Which is why you'll definitely want to check out SportsLine's weekly pitching Start 'Em & Sit 'Em chart from William Dubiel. A 15-year Fantasy veteran, Dubiel got his start in Fantasy baseball and has done work for Rotoballer, Metro US and multiple other outlets during his career. He was named the No. 4 MLB Ranker for the 2017 MLB season, so if there's anybody who can give you an edge in your Fantasy baseball league, it's him.

Now, he's helping you set your pitching lineup each week. William goes through every starting pitcher matchup for the upcoming week, making start and sit picks for each game. Here are some of William's calls for Week 22:

    • Dillon Peters has quickly evolved into a major asset for the Angels rotation in the second half of the season. Following some early-season bullpen outings and an early-June spot-start, Peters was called up to join the rotation for good on July 21st. Since then he's rattled off five decent outings, going 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA across 28.2 innings. His last three starts have been particularly impressive, as he's tossed quality starts in all three and has posted a 19:2 strikeout to walk ratio. The 26-year-old has the pedigree for me to believe that this success isn't a fluke or some random hot streak — he was a top prospect in the Marlins system before a brutal 2018 AAA campaign. I'm particularly encouraged by the control he's showing, and while he's no flame-throwing ace, he strikes out just enough batters (21.2% in 2019) to be useful in the back-end of your Fantasy rotation. Peters has a pair of tough draws in the Rangers and Astros this week, but I'm giving him a vote of confidence, with the logic being that any damage will be limited as he continues to keep runners off the base paths.
    • Joe Ross has also been on a heck of a hot streak. He's dazzled in three August starts, going 3-0 with a microscopic 0.50 ERA across 18 innings of work. He's making a case for himself as the Nationals' fifth starter even when Max Scherzer returns — Ross is currently occupying his spot in the rotation — and with the Nationals chasing the Braves and staving off wild card contenders they will likely give him that opportunity. There are positives and negatives to Ross' recent run — the nine walks is much higher than you'd like to see, but no home runs across the three starts is outstanding given he's had trouble with the long ball in the past. In a two-start week I'm trusting him, as he'll get to feast on the Pirates' bottom-10 offense before a date with the 13th-ranked Cubs offense, which is not elite enough to scare me off.
    • Matthew Boyd has been one of the only positive stores to the Tigers' season this year, emerging as a consistent starter who misses bats regularly (31.2% strikeout rate). He had his season-long ERA back under 4.00 to finish out July, but his two August starts have been absolute disasters. Boyd was shelled for 11 earned runs over eight total innings against the cellar-dwelling Royals and the rebuilding Mariners, yielding a jaw-dropping seven homers in that time frame. He also posted a miserable 5:5 strikeout to walk ratio in those two starts, and all signs are currently pointing to something being very off. He's an easy sit for me this week against the Twins' top-three offense, particularly given that they still lead the majors in homers.
