Unless you've got a roster stacked with high-end pitchers you'll start against any matchup, you'll probably need to keep a close eye on the schedule as you get ready to set your lineup for the upcoming week. You'll need to know which of your starters have bad matchups, which are set for two starts in the upcoming week, and which fringe-y options might just be worth going out to grab on waivers.

Which is why you'll definitely want to check out SportsLine's weekly pitching Start 'Em & Sit 'Em chart from William Dubiel. A 15-year Fantasy veteran, Dubiel got his start in Fantasy baseball and has done work for Rotoballer, Metro US and multiple other outlets during his career. He was named the No. 4 MLB Ranker for the 2017 MLB season, so if there's anybody who can give you an edge in your Fantasy baseball league, it's him.

Now, he's helping you set your pitching lineup each week. William goes through every starting pitcher matchup for the upcoming week, making start and sit picks for each game. Here are some of William's calls for Week 20:

    • Anibal Sanchez has been slowly chipping away at his ERA after a horrendous April in which he posted a 5.91 ERA over his first five starts. Sanchez is the opposite of flashy, with a strikeout percentage under 20% (19.9), thanks in part to the slowest fastball of his career and an increased reliance on his sinker and change-up to generate weak contact. Not all Fantasy assets need to be strikeout machines to be effective, though. Sanchez hasn't recorded a loss since May 10th, and he's managed to shrink his ERA down to 3.80. His ownership percentage indicates he may be available in your league, and he's one of my top streamers this week with matchups against the Giants and Mets on deck.
    • Reynaldo Lopez is volatile to say the least. On the season he's got an uninspiring 5.43 ERA and a 5-9 record, but his last month has been much more promising as far as Fantasy value is concerned. Since the All Star Break, Lopez has made four starts and posted a 2.05 ERA in that time frame. He's also notched 31 strikeouts in just 26.1 innings, a vast improvement over the first three months of the season. Lopez posted a sub-4.00 ERA across 32 starts in 2018, and the peripherals in the second half support a sustained turnaround in 2019. I really like him as a streaming option this week at home against the Athletics, and he's on my short list of guys to monitor for the second half.
    • Seemingly out of nowhere, Mike Minor revitalized his career in 2018 after losing nearly two and a half seasons to shoulder injuries from 2015-2017. After a successful 12-8 campaign last year, Minor has emerged into a bona fide ace for the Rangers in 2019. His 24.6 strikeout percentage is the second-highest of his career, and the highest mark since his injury-shortened 2017. Since the All Star Break he's lost his way, however, struggling to a 6.65 ERA across 23 innings. And perhaps more troublingly he's yielded a whopping eight homers in just four starts. I'm shying away from him this week on the road against the Indians, an offense that just received an infusion of talent in Yasiel Puig and Franmil Reyes. I have faith that he can turn it around at some point in the second half, but I'm not counting on it this week.
