Former Big East Conference rivals meet in a nonconference matchup on Wednesday night when the Connecticut Huskies face the host West Virginia Mountaineers. Tip-off from the WVU Coliseum is set for 7 p.m. ET. West Virginia is favored by two points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points is set at 138 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page).

Before making any UConn vs. West Virginia picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of over $2,200 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows redshirt senior Taz Sherman has been the catalyst for the Mountaineers' offense this season. He is averaging 21 points, 3.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game, and is connecting on 43.6 percent of his field goals and 86.4 percent of his free throws. He has scored in double figures in all eight games, including four games of 20 or more. He scored a season-high 28 points in an 80-77 win over Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 26, and was the only player on either team in double digits in a 67-51 win over Radford on Saturday. He finished with 27 points and four rebounds.

The model also knows the Huskies have four players averaging in double digits and eight players scoring at least six points. Senior guard R.J. Cole, who began his collegiate career at Howard where he played two seasons, leads Connecticut in scoring at 16.3 points per game and is connecting on 90.7 percent of his foul shots. He is also averaging 4.4 assists, three rebounds and 1.7 steals. Cole opened the season with a 15-point, three-rebound and three-assist effort against Central Connecticut, and had 16 points and six assists vs. Coppin State.

Now, it has set its sights on UConn vs. West Virginia. It is leaning Over on the total and it also says one side of the spread hits in nearly 70 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
