There are 15 games on Tuesday's MLB slate, with the Los Angeles Dodgers taking on the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs matching up with the Philadelphia Phillies headlining the day's action. The Dodgers and Phillies both won in extra innings to open the series Monday.

Tampa Bay Rays at Boston Red Sox (-110, 9.5): 7:10 p.m. ET

The Rays took the first game of the series Monday with a wild 10-8 win in 11 innings. Tampa Bay is now 6-1 in its last seven games. Wild games are becoming the norm for the Red Sox with their last three contests totalling 18, 18 and 17 runs.

Boston turns to Lucas Giolito to stop the bleeding. The veteran will need to pitch better than his last time out when he gave up seven runs in just 1.2 innings against the Angels. The Red Sox did come back to win that game 11-9 and Boston is 4-1 in Giolito's last five starts.

Ryan Pepiot gets the call for Tampa Bay. The right-hander has been lights out in his last three starts, allowing just two runs in 19.2 innings of work. Pepiot did struggle in his one start against Boston this year where he gave up six runs over 6.0 innings in a 7-4 Red Sox win.

Los Angeles Dodgers (-110, 8.5) at San Diego Padres: 9:40 p.m. ET

The Dodgers took the first game of the series Monday night, defeating San Diego 8-7 in extra innings. Los Angeles now leads the Padres by two games in the NL West and has won six of the last eight meetings between the teams.

The Padres give the ball to Dylan Cease to try and even the series. Cease is just 1-5 on the season but he's been serviceable for San Diego, allowing three runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts. The veteran hasn't had a lot of success against Los Angeles in his career. Current Dodgers hitters are batting .286 against Cease in 112 at-bats.

Matt Sauer is expected to get the call for Los Angeles. Sauer was recently called up from the minors and last pitched on May 23. He has appeared in seven games for the Dodgers this year, sporting a 3.05 ERA over 20.2 innings.
