Premature birth is the largest contributor to infant death in the U.S. and globally. In Tennessee, for example, one in nine babies is born prematurely each year. March of Dimes works to improve the health of moms and babies everywhere, and SportsLine is joining the fight this March.
For every new subscription sold between March 18 and March 21 -- the first full day of March Madness -- SportsLine will donate a portion to March of Dimes. Join SportsLine now and support the organization that's helped millions of babies survive and thrive since FDR founded it in 1938.
If you're already a SportsLine member, contribute here, enabling the March of Dimes to tackle the biggest health threats facing moms and babies.
Last year, SportsLine members helped raise more than $10,000 for two amazing organizations: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Second Harvest Food Bank.
Now, new and current SportsLine members can help an organization that pioneered the vaccine research leading to the eradication of polio in the U.S. and came up with innovations like newborn screening, surfactant therapy and emphasizing folic acid. Today March of Dimes funds lifesaving research, provides comfort and support to families in NICUs, and focuses on reducing birth defects and premature births.
In addition to our fundraising drive, SportsLine will participate in the April 13 March for Babies -- a two-mile walk starting at Nissan Stadium in Nashville that will draw more than 7,000 participants with a goal of raising $700,000.
