Vegas lines are more than just a predictor of the final score of games. They also can be a secret weapon in Fantasy.
Before you start using them to crush your Fantasy week-to-week lineups, you'll want to hear what Fantasy analyst Jen Ryan has to say. She's a contributor at FootballDiehards.com and on SiriusXMFantasy's "Football Diehards" show. Ryan, who has been an FSWA finalist for "Best Football Series," goes in-depth every week on SportsLine on using Vegas lines to make Fantasy decisions in both season-long and daily.
One tip we'll give away this week: Ryan is extremely high on Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield against the Falcons.
"Mayfield ($5,400 on DraftKings, $7,400 on FanDuel) will be playing from behind in this one and we already know what that means," Ryan said. "Over the past four weeks, the Falcons are allowing an average of 22.6 points to quarterbacks. Over that same time, Mayfield is averaging 18.75 points per game, getting over the 20 point hump twice. The matchup and Mayfield's recent performances - most notably an effort last week where he was just three yards shy of hitting the 300-yard bonus - are a recipe for Fantasy success. He has thrown for multiple touchdowns in three straight, and should have no problem keeping that trend going this week."
Ryan has also identified a wide receiver you're not thinking about who has a high ceiling this week in what Vegas says will be a high-scoring matchup. This pick could help you cash in big time in Week 10.
