When it comes to college football, there are few in media who deserve the expert tag quite like Barrett Sallee. The CBS Sports writer and analyst hosts shows on SiriusXM College, writes for CBSSports.com and appears regularly on CBS Sports HQ as well as countless radio shows across the nation as a guest.
Sallee debuted with SportsLine in 2017 and has delivered in a big way, going 44-32 in his weekly best bets column since that point. He was all over his picks last week, going 2-1 against the spread by nailing Alabama (-14.5) over LSU and Georgia Tech (-6) over North Carolina.
Now, he's turned his attention to the Week 11 college football schedule and is revealing his three favorite plays of the weekend exclusively to SportsLine members.
We can tell you Sallee loves Notre Dame (-16.5) against Florida State, even without quarterback Ian Book.
"It's hard to trust the Fighting Irish against the spread at times, because you never know when they'll choose to ugly it up against a lesser opponent," Sallee said. "But this lesser opponent is so low that it's on its way to digging a hole to China. Sure, the likelihood of the Fighting Irish being uglier than usual is higher with Brandon Wimbush taking the snaps instead of an injured Ian Book, but the Seminoles are broken, and Notre Dame's about to shatter them into even more pieces."
Sallee has also found two other lines that are way off, including one top-15 team that Vegas is vastly overrating.
