Oddsmakers say Jets heavy favorites to sign Jay Cutler

Teams aren't lining up to sign just-released QB Jay Cutler, but some desperate team will take a chance on him. Here are fresh odds on where Cutler lands.

Jay Cutler has been released -- the Bears prefer Mike Glennon -- and he won't be flooded with free-agent offers.

Not with a sub-.500 career record as a starter and a penchant for ugly, critical turnovers. But Cutler, who turns 34 next month, still has one of the NFL's strongest arms.

BookMaker.eu, the market-setting offshore sportsbook, just released odds on where Cutler will play this fall.

From BookMaker.eu: Jay Cutler's team in Week 1 of the regular season:

New York Jets -250
Miami Dolphins +750
Field +200

The Jets -- who are not in the running to land Tony Romo -- are a deserving favorite here even though they're also reported to be looking at Trevor Siemian.

With Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty as the only QBs on their roster, the need is obvious. New Jets QB coach Jeremy Bates served as Cutler's QB coach in both Denver and Chicago. A reunion makes sense.

Especially with the QB market thinning fast.
