Rex Ryan Heavily Favored to Be the First NFL Coach Fired this Season

Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan is nearly even money to be the first NFL coach fired this season. The hammer could come down as soon as this week. Gus Bradley, Mike McCoy, Jeff Fisher, and Chip Kelly are also on the hot seat.

We're 14 weeks into the NFL's regular season and, so far, no coach has been canned. That, however, could end this week.

According to CBS Sports, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan could be the first coach fired, and it could happen very soon. Ryan's toxic relationship with general manager Doug Whaley and his team's lackluster performance (6-7) could both lead to his departure.

Two weeks ago, Ryan was +1700 to be the first coach fired (bet $100 to win $1,700) at BookMaker.eu. Now, those odds have changed dramatically. On Monday, Ryan was +125 to get the boot first (bet $100 to win $125), nearly even money.

Gus Bradley, who had the lowest odds two weeks ago at +185, is now +200 (bet $100 to win $200). Bradley's Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-11 on the heels of eight consecutive losses.

Mike McCoy was +700 to be the first coach fired two weeks ago, but he's now all the way down to +350 (bet $100 to win $350). The San Diego Chargers were doubled up by the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. They are 5-8 this season after going 4-12 last year.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly was also +700 two weeks ago, but his seat grew hotter this week and he's now +400 (bet $100 to win $400). The 49ers are 1-12 after 12 straight losses and Levi's Stadium looked like a ghost town for Sunday's loss to the Jets.

Jeff Fisher, whose Rams were waxed at home by the Falcons on Sunday, is +750 (bet $100 to win $750) to be the first coach fired this season. Fisher signed a two-year extension earlier this season, according to reports, cooling off his odds. But running back Todd Gurley didn't help Fisher's cause Sunday when he said the team has a "middle school offense."

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians (+3,000) and Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano (+5,000) are the long shots.

No coach fired during the season pays $300 on a $100 bet.

Here are the full odds of which NFL coach will be canned first, according to BookMaker.eu:

Rex Ryan +125
Gus Bradley +200
Mike McCoy +350
Chip Kelly +400
Jeff Fisher +750
Bruce Arians +3000
Chuck Pagano +5000
No coach fired during season +300
