Only two tournaments remain on the PGA Tour playing calendar as players travel to Colorado for this week's BMW Championship. Taking place at Castle Pines, the BMW Championship welcome 50 players to an old PGA Tour stop that crowned winners like Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love III and Retief Goosen.

Unlike the old trips to Castle Pines, this week's BMW Championship will not use the Stableford format, but rather traditional stroke play. With the field being cut from 50 golfers to 30 after this week, the players will vie to qualify for the Tour Championship with major championship exemptions, big-money bonuses and more on the line.

Someone who will certainly be there is world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler finished inside the top five at the St. Jude Championship to maintain his lead, but it is possible he is not the one to enter the Tour Championship on top at 10 under. Instead, Xander Schauffele will look to surge as he has an opportunity to win, start at 10 under and possibly grab his first FedEx Cup crown.

Hideki Matusyama rounds out the top three while Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark are all hovering around the same point totals and could jostle for positioning this week in Colorado.
