The third-seeded Purdue Boilermakers aim for their second Elite Eight appearance in three years when they take on the No. 15 Saint Peter's Peacocks in the East Region semifinals of the 2022 NCAA Tournament at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Friday. Purdue (29-7) earned a berth in the Sweet Sixteen by posting an 81-71 second-round triumph over Texas, while Saint Peter's (21-11) continued its Cinderella run with a 70-60 victory against Murray State.

Tip-off is set for 7:09 p.m. ET on CBS. The Boilermakers are 13-point favorites in the latest Purdue vs. Saint Peter's odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over-under for total points scored is 133.5. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page.)

Before making any Saint Peter's vs. Purdue picks or NCAA Tournament predictions, be sure to check out what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of over $1,300 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows Purdue has received a strong contribution off the bench from Trevion Williams in its first two games of the Tournament. The senior forward recorded eight points and 10 rebounds in the Boilermakers' 78-56 first-round victory against Yale and produced 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting versus Texas. Sophomore guard Jaden Ivey has registered 22 and 18 points while sophomore center Zach Edey followed a 16-point, nine-rebound performance against the Bulldogs with a double-double (11 points, 10 boards) in the win over the Longhorns.

The model also knows Saint Peter's has far exceeded expectations by defeating Kentucky and Murray State for the first two NCAA Tournament victories in school history. The Peacocks, who are just the third No. 15 seed ever to reach the regional semifinals, now look to avenge their most recent loss in the "Big Dance" -- a 65-43 setback against Purdue in 2011. Junior guard Doug Edert has been huge off the bench for Saint Peter's, scoring 20 points against the Wildcats and 13 versus the Racers.

Now, the model has set its sights on the NCAA Tournament and Purdue vs. Saint Peter's. We can tell you it is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread covers in over 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
