Joey Chestnut is looking to extend his record to 15 titles, and he is the heavy favorite to do so at the 2022 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. The traditional Fourth of July event returns to Coney Island after a two-year absence caused by the pandemic, but the location hasn't mattered for Chestnut, who has won the championship belt in 14 of the past 15 editions of the competitive eating event. He ate a record 76 franks last year at the Brooklyn Cyclones' Maimonides Park. Miki Sudo, who has won the women's event seven of the past eight years, returns after missing out last year while pregnant with her first child.

Chestnut is a -3000 favorite in the men's competition at Caesars Sportsbook, while the field is +1100. The Over/Under for total hot dogs eaten is 74.5. Other sportsbooks are offering odds on the women's side, with Sudo an even bigger favorite at -5000, the field at +1100 and the Over/Under at 49.5 Coverage for the women's championship kicks off at 10:45 a.m. ET, followed by the men's championship at noon ET.
