An invitational-only event hosted by Tiger Woods draws 20 of the PGA Tour's top golfers to the Bahamas this week for the 2021 Hero World Challenge. A first prize of $1 million, full World Golf Ranking points and bragging rights will be on the line when the event tees off Thursday at Albany Golf Club. The field includes 15 of the world's top 20 players, including Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka. Henrik Stenson won the event the last time it was played, edging Jon Rahm by one stroke in 2019. Rahm, the world's No. 1 golfer, is not in the Hero World Challenge field this week.

Caesars Sportsbook lists Morikawa and McIlroy as the 15-2 co-favorites in its latest Hero World Challenge golf odds. The golfers behind are tightly grouped, with Bryson DeChambeau at 10-1, Justin Thomas and  Viktor Hovland at 11-1, and Spieth and Xander Schauffele at 12-1.

Before you lock in any of your Fantasy golf rankings or bet the 2021 Hero World Challenge, you HAVE TO see what fantasy expert Riley Gates has to say.

Gates is a writer for 247Sports and has covered a range of sports for nearly five years. He has followed golf closely for much longer and has a profound knowledge of the sport. He also knows what it takes to win, on the course and in fantasy sports.

Gates was on a roll on his picks during the fall season. At the Houston Open, seven of his picks finished in the top 20, led by Scottie Scheffler, who tied for second. The previous week at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico, five of Gates' top six golfers finished in the top 15, including winner Viktor Hovland. And at the Zozo Championship, five of his 13 favored players finished in the top 10.

Now, Gates has ranked his top 10 golfers for the 2021 World Hero Challenge. We can tell you he is slightly fading Rory McIlroy, who is the co-favorite! The Northern Irishman has been on a roller coaster for more than two years. He has two wins in that span, including October's CJ Cup. But he crashed in the final round at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai last week, shooting 2 over to finish T-6 after making the turn on Sunday with the lead. There are a handful of better options, and McIlroy barely cracks the golf expert's top five recommendations for your Fantasy golf picks!

Instead, the fantasy expert has a long-shot player in his top 10 who is listed at more than 20-1! This player isn't having a great season but looked sharp last week in Dubai. He was accurate off the tee and strong on the greens last season and could be another surprise in the Bahamas. This golfer could be the difference for your Fantasy golf picks! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is and check out Gates' top picks before you bet the 2021 Hero World Challenge or enter any Fantasy golf picks.
