2020 Milwaukee Brewers Preview: Projected rotation, starting lineup, prospects, win total
SportsLine's John Bollman went 14-1 on his MLB win total bets last season. Here he previews the Brewers and tells you whether to go Over or Under 82 wins.

Milwaukee Brewers
2019 record: 89-73
Record in one-run games: 27-18
O/U win total from Willam Hill: 82
Key Additions: Justin Smoak, Eric Sogard, Avisail Garcia, Ryon Healy, Eric Lauer, Luis Urias, Brett Anderson
Key Losses: Jimmy Nelson, Travis Shaw, Zach Davies, Trent Grisham, Eric Thames, Mike Moustakas, Yasmani Grandal
This is a completely different looking Brewers team, with many big names leaving from the 2019 squad. With the loss of Mike Moustakas, the Brewers traded for Luis Urias and signed Eric Sogard. They filled the hole at first base with Justin Smoak, and the Brewers offset pitching losses by trading for Eric Lauer and signing Brett Anderson.
Projected Rotation
1) Brandon Woodruff
2) Adrian Houser
3) Brett Anderson
4) Josh Lindblom
5) Eric Lauer/Freddy Peralta/Corbin Burnes
Milwaukee's rotation was hit hard with injuries last season, but they were able to withstand enough to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. They lost Jimmy Nelson and Zach Davies, but they added Eric Lauer and Brett Anderson. The Brewers lack a true ace, although Woodruff performed well in the 121.2 innings he was able to pitch last season.
Fantasy-relevant relievers
Josh Hader (projected 38 saves, 2.60 ERA)
Corey Knebel (projected 3 saves, 3.41 ERA)
Major League-ready prospects
Corey Ray (OF)
Projected Lineup
1) Lorenzo Cain
2) Christian Yelich
3) Keston Hiura
4) Ryan Braun
5) Avisail Garcia
6) Omar Narvaez
7) Eric Sogard
8) Orlando Arcia
This lineup is looking a little different when compared to the 2019 season, but the Brewers have the talent to return to the playoffs for a third straight season if things go well. Still, Milwaukee will be in serious trouble if they have any injury problems. They have good bench depth in Justin Smoak and the versatility with Eric Sogard and Luis Urias, but a majority of their prospects are in the lower levels and will not be ready to come up this season.
Key bench players
Luis Urias, Justin Smoak
