Bill Belichick is renowned for taking away the opponent's top threat. In Super Bowl LI, that's Julio Jones.
The Patriots rarely give up rushing touchdowns: They yielded an NFL-low six this season.
Which brings us to Mohamed Sanu, an increasingly popular red-zone target for Matt Ryan. The 6-2, 210-pound Sanu has caught a TD in three straight games, including both playoff wins.
Last Sunday in the NFC Championship Game, Sanu opened the scoring. He capped the game's first drive, one-handing a 2-yard flip pass from Matt Ryan, to put the Falcons up 7-0.
With great hands and physicality, Sanu hauled in nine of 11 red-zone targets during the regular season. He dropped one pass en route to a career-high 59 catches.
It's clear the Patriots will be ready for a Sanu trick play -- the high school option quarterback is 5 for 5 as an NFL passer, including hitting A.J. Green for a 73-yard TD in 2012. With Sanu not even attempting a pass as a Falcon yet, it's not something to worry about now.
At +850 odds, we'll back Sanu to score the first Falcons' touchdown in Super Bowl LI.
