Today's top picks: Why No. 8 Cincinnati will cover against Indiana and more college football expert bets for Saturday, Sept. 18

Allan Bell is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Micah Roberts on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for college football for Saturday, Sept. 18.

Bell starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: Boise State (-3.5) to cover against Oklahoma State (9 p.m. ET). "Although the Cowboys are 2-0, their margins of victory are by seven points or fewer," Bell says.

Roberts has a pair of college football picks. The first is Florida (-14.5) to cover against Alabama (3:30 p.m. ET). "i think this team has enough confidence built up from that SEC Championship Game last year to carry over into this game and maybe move onto that next level," he says.

He also likes Michigan State (+6.5) to cover at Miami (noon ET). 

McClure's pair of picks also comes in college football. The first is Cincinnati (-3.5) to cover against Indiana (noon ET). "[Hoosiers quarterback Michael Penix Jr.] has not been solid since returning from that ACL," he says. "I don't think he can throw down the field, especially against that [Bearcats] secondary."

McClure closes The Early Edge with the LSU-Central Michigan game going Over 61 (7:30 p.m. ET). "I think the LSU defense is actually still vulnerable through the air," he says. "Look for Central Michigan to have the throw against them, which ultimately extends the game significantly."
