Today's top picks: Astros to beat Angels is among best bets, plus more MLB, Wimbledon and soccer picks for Saturday, July 2

The crew first gives a rundown of storylines and betting trends, with Mike going over the weather, as forecasts showing rain could endanger some MLB games. The Orioles vs. Twins, Cardinals vs. Philles and Marlins vs. Nationals games could be among those affected. But if they aren't postponed and the foul weather misses the parks, hitting conditions should be ideal.

After John runs down the injury updates, Allan has two SportsLine Plays of the Day. The first is from Jon "Buckets" Eimer from Brazil's Serie A, and the soccer expert is backing Both Teams to Score (+125) in the Fluminense vs. Corinthians matchup (3:30 p.m. ET).

The second play is an MLB pick, and it is Atlanta Over 4.5 on the team total (-140) in the Braves vs. Reds at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Mike has a play from Wimbledon, from the Nick Kyrgios vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas match. McClure is fired up for this one, saying "it's going to be an electric factory." He says Kyrgios is "simply built for the grass," so McClure is backing him to win at -140. The Australian has a huge first serve, which is enhanced on the surface at the All England Club, and Tsitsipas is going to have trouble on returns.      

Bollman then offers up two MLB picks, and he likes the Rockies -140 against the Diamondbacks (9:10 p.m. ET). Arizona has had a lot of trouble hitting left-handed pitchers, while Colorado has been successful against them. And it's a matchup of southpaws, with Austin Gomber throwing for the Rockies opposite Dallas Keuchel for the Diamondbacks.

John's second MLB play is Houston -155 in the Astros vs. Angels game (4:10 p.m. ET). "No reason not to run this play back after seeing the Astros last night," Bollman says. "The Angels are one of the worst teams in the league in June, and the Astros are red-hot right now."
