Host Allan Bell is joined by sports betting experts Mike McClure and Micah Roberts on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for college football and MLB for Saturday, Sept. 17 and a Sunday NFL matchup.
He is on the Miami vs. Texas A&M matchup (9 p.m. ET), and he is taking the Aggies -6. "It's an absolute must-win game for Texas A&M," McClure says. "When I want to back them is when they're totally backed up against the wall." With the Hurricanes missing their best receiver and A&M's defense backed by the strong home-field advantage, Mike loves the Aggies to cover at anything less than a touchdown.
Micah has a "buffet" for bettors, and he starts off with an MLB pick, backing Arizona to win (-105) in Diamondbacks vs. Padres (8:10 p.m. ET). The D-backs have won nine of Zac Gallen's past 10 starts, and he is 12-2 with a 2.50 ERA.
With his college football pick, Roberts likes Under 73 (-110) in USC vs. Fresno State (10:30 p.m. ET), even though the Trojans have gone Over in seven straight at home. "I don't care," Micah says, and he expects USC to get a big early lead and slow things down. He predicts that the Trojans will turn to the running game in the second half and bleed the clock rather than piling up points.
Roberts also has an NFL pick for Sunday, taking Washington +1.5 (-110) in Commanders vs. Lions (1 p.m. ET). "Detroit is a favorite?" the expert says. "I mean, they weren't favored in any games last year. All of a sudden they lose a game, they played close last week, and now they're the favorites over Washington?" Does not make any sense at all." Micah thinks Carson Wentz and the Commanders' receiving corps are vastly underrated.
The AB3 from Allan is all college football picks, and he likes the big favorites. He is backing the Gators -24 in Florida vs. South Florida (7:30 p.m. ET), Oklahoma -11 over Nebraska (Noon ET) and Rutgers -17.5 vs. Temple (2 p.m. ET).
