Jonathan Coachman is joined by featured sports betting experts Allan Bell, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get the best plays for Major League Baseball and some interesting points to consider for the NBA Finals for Monday, July 19.
The guys open by looking ahead to Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Bucks and the Suns at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Allan urges us to jump on the first half over for Milwaukee, highlighting specific trends that point to the Bucks soaring past the number. The Coach reminds us why we need to pounce on it early. Larry says the key to the Suns' survival is to keep Devin Booker on the court for as many minutes as possible. Phoenix faltered in Game 5 when Booker was on the sidelines.
The Coach drops the SportsLine Play of the Day, backing the Reds -115 over the Mets at 7:10 p.m. ET. This was supposed to be Jacob deGrom's turn on Monday, but instead the Reds will get to face emergency option Jerad Eickhoff.
Allan's highlighted MLB play is the Dodgers -121 over the Giants at 10:10 p.m. ET. Los Angeles has been faring well when Tony Gonsolin is on the mound. The Dodgers have won four of his last five starts and the offense has performed well in support of Gonsolin.
Zack is on the Red Sox +115 over the Blue Jays at 7:07 p.m. ET. Boston has already handled Ross Stripling well this season. It has been a frustrating season for Bobby Dalbec, but he has had some of his best moments against Stripling.
Much to the approval of the YouTube live viewers, Larry is going with the White Sox -1.5 over the Twins in the first game of a doubleheader at 5:10 p.m. ET. "Lance Lynn just signed a big contract. He has a 1.59 ERA in three starts against the Twins," he says. "The Twins called up Griffin Jax. The rookie has had only one start and it did not go well. The White Sox have owned the matchup this year," he adds, noting Chicago's 10-2 record against Minnesota. The show concludes with some top plays from the Jeweler.
