Jonathan Coachman brings in his favorite sports betting experts, Mike McClure, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get the best plays for Major League Baseball, the 3M Open and ATP Los Cabos Open for Wednesday, July 21.
The Coach reminds us of upcoming special Early Edge golf and MMA episodes to watch. Larry then takes a first look at the NBA Finals odds for next season, where the Nets are already heavy favorites, but the Sixers could be a value play.
The SportsLine Plays of the Day from the site models and experts are up next. It is a pitching mismatch in Royals-Brewers at 2:10 p.m. ET, so the Coach endorses Milwaukee at -160. He also highlights the Dodgers, coming off a big win, to take down the Giants at -110 at 10:10 p.m. ET.
Mike is looking ahead to another day of tennis action, with his featured play at the ATP Los Cabos Open of Alex Bolt and Emilio Gomez over 2.5 sets at +135 at 8 p.m. ET. Gomez has made two finals this year, both on hard surfaces, He believes this match will easily go to a third set.
The Coach shares his top picks for the 3M Open. He is taking Hank Lebioda -118 over Rickie Fowler. Lebioda may be the best left-handed golfer in the world right now. He is also on Cameron Tringale -118 over Matthew Wolff. He is certainly fading Wolff, whose game is "all over the place."
Zack is strongly recommending the White Sox -135 over the Twins at 8:10 p.m. ET. "I just look at their dominance against the Twins this year, in 15 games they have a 12-3 record," he says. "Dylan Cease has been much better at home this year. To back him up, you have to love the run support. In 15 games against the Twins, the White Sox have averaged seven runs." Zack is also going with the Dodgers -1.5 over the Giants, as Los Angeles has fared well in recent starts by Julio Urias.
Larry chooses to go against the Orioles, who are facing Tampa Bay's Michael Wacha at 12:10 p.m. ET. Baltimore strikes out a ton, and Larry is taking Wacha at over 4.5 strikeouts.
