Today's picks: Why Washington will beat the Giants, plus more NFL, college football and MLB picks for Thursday

The Coach reminds us of upcoming Thursday Night Football and props episodes. Matt talks about how point totals continue to rise in the NFL, and Allan spotlights Daniel Jones' success vs. Washington. He is 4-0 in matchups vs. the Giants' divisional rival. 

Mike's featured NFL prop play is Daniel Jones Over 20.5 rushing yards as the Giants travel to Washington for an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. Washington will likely employ enough man coverage and bring a heavy pass rush to spur Jones to take off. He has routinely reached and exceeded the projected number. 

Justin's MLB Play of the Day is the A's and Royals over 10 runs at 2:10 p.m. ET. The weather and the pitching matchup point to the teams getting past the projected total. He also issues his Week 2 NFL parlay, going with the Cardinals, Broncos, Chiefs and Patriots at +350. 

Matt is taking Washington on the money line at -175 over the Giants. "Yes, Daniel Jones is 4-0 against Washington and he has never fumbled, which means he's obviously due," he says. "The Giants are without Evan Engram and one of their starting offensive linemen, and Saquon Barkley is basically on one leg these days. Taylor Heinicke is actually an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick for Washington." In college football, Matt is on Ohio +21 over Louisiana-Lafayette at 8 p.m. ET. Both teams are not playing well but the Bobcats showed signs of life in the fourth quarter last week and can take advantage of a very good matchup against a terrible defense. 

Allan recommends Marshall -10 over East Carolina at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday. East Carolina could be in for much more trouble after coming off a heartbreaking loss last week.
