Today's picks: Why the Lakers will cover against the Nets and more NBA, NFL, NHL and college basketball best bets and picks for Tuesday

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine play of the day: the Spurs (-3.5) to cover against the Rockets (7 p.m. ET). "[The Spurs] have been playing really good basketball as of late," he says.

Allie has a play from the NHL: Over six goals in the Panthers-Jets game (8 p.m. ET). "The last six Winnipeg games have totaled at least six goals," she says.

Mike's play comes from the NBA: Lakers (-3) to cover against the Nets. (7:30 p.m. ET). "[The Nets] have played one home game since Kyrie [Irving] came back that [Kevin] Durant also did not play in," he says. "That was a 21-point loss to the Thunder. Yuck."

Zack once again attacks college basketball: Cal State Northridge (+6.5) to cover against UCSB (10 p.m. ET). "UCSB has had nine days off," he says. "They've only played two games the entire month."

Allan closes out the show by looking ahead to the two NFL conference championship games. He's taking the Rams (-3.5) to cover against the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game (6:30 p.m. ET). "San Francisco's offense will not be able to keep up this weekend," he says.

He also likes the Chiefs (-7) to cover against the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game (3 p.m. ET). "[The Chiefs] just took a sledgehammer to the face by the Buffalo Bills and didn't flinch," he says.
