Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, Allie O'Neill and Zack Cimini on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball, soccer and the NBA for Monday, May 16.

Coach kicks things off with two SportsLine Plays of the Day. The first is in soccer: Over 2.5 goals in the Serie A match between Juventus and Lazio (2:45 p.m. ET). "(Juventus') defense has been faltering as of late," he says. "So we believe Lazio will at least score one. We think Juventus will score at least two."

The second SportsLine Play of the Day is in MLB: The Brewers (-130) to beat the Braves in the opener of their three-game series (7:40 p.m. ET). "They are 10-4 at home. They have a tremendous pitching matchup tonight," Coach says. "The last time out, (Atlanta's) Ian Anderson allowed three earned runs. We believe tonight, on the road, he will get knocked around a little bit."

McClure is up next with an MLB play. He likes Over 3.5 runs for the Cardinals (-125) against the Mets in the first contest of their four-game set (7:10 p.m. ET). "Looking at the Mets, they're in a rough spot in terms of the starting pitching for this game," Mike says. "Trevor Williams is going to make the spot start. He's only pitched three innings at a time so far this season, around 60-65 pitches. … Yesterday, (Carlos) Carrasco barely got them through four innings, it was a bullpen game for them there. On Saturday, they got five out of the starter. Then you factor in the weather, where we could have potential delays. Going to be a lot of bullpen usage for the Mets."

O'Neill follows with a Major League Baseball play of her own. She likes Under 8 runs in the Yankees-Orioles four-game series opener (7:05 p.m. ET). "All three games in Baltimore, when these teams played each other earlier this season, went Under," Allie says. "The main reason right now is the Yankees have the best bullpen and the Orioles' (bullpen) has actually been really good. I think the teams will have trouble making contact with the ball today. Considering six straight when these teams have played in Baltimore have gone Under, I'll take it."

Coach jumps back in with a play in MLB: The Rockies (+1.5 at -118) to cover against the Giants in the first contest of their three-game set (8:40 p.m. ET). "The Giants had to play Sunday Night Baseball, travel all the way to Colorado and play on Monday night," he says. "(The Rockies) are terrific at home, they are rested, the Giants are not."

Cimini wraps things up with an NBA futures split wager: The Heat to win their Eastern Conference final series against Boston in six games (+850) and seven games (+325). "The Heat have locked down every opponent in this postseason," Zack says. "They shut down Trae Young, they shut down - in the last series - James Harden and Tyrese Maxey to an extent. So they know how to limit teams' best players. I don't think they're going to be able to do it to Jayson Tatum, but maybe the other role players of the Boston Celtics. And the way (Miami's) role players are playing, they're playing above their level."
