Jonathan Coachman gathers featured sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The guys deliver their winning picks for MLB, the NBA and NHL for Tuesday, April 6.

The show tips off with an in-depth NBA injury report from Mike. He has important info on the Pacers, Raptors, Pelicans, Hawks, Pistons and much more. He also supplies updates on superstars such as Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry.

The Coach serves up a trio of SportsLine Plays of the Day. In the NHL, he is backing the Sabres and Devils at under 5.5 goals, citing a key trend regarding the teams when they play in New Jersey. He is agreeing that the Panthers and Hurricanes will go over six goals at 7 p.m. ET, as those are two of the more prolific scoring teams in the league. The Coach also signs off on the Grizzlies +5 over the Heat at 8 p.m. ET.

In MLB, Mike is going with the Cardinals +115 over the Marlins at 6:40 p.m. ET. He says the line is inflated because of how good Sandy Alcantara has looked, but the Cardinals lineup will prevail. He is also going against the Nationals in their delayed opener vs. the Braves at 4:05 p.m. ET. "Plus 110 against Max Scherzer is typically not a spot you'd be comfortable betting. However, the COVID issues are something we really can't understate here," he says. "This team hasn't played a game or seen live action in over a week. Their lineup is certainly not at full strength in this matchup. It's an important game for the Braves, it's a rivalry game for them. Drew Smyly will be able to navigate the Nationals lineup just enough to be competitive. The bottom of that order is very weak." Mike is also expecting the Twins offense to keep rolling and takes them at -135 over the Tigers at 1:10 p.m. ET.

Larry's best MLB play is the White Sox -135 over the Mariners at 10:10 p.m. ET, as he says James Paxton is getting progressively worse every year. The master of NBA props will continue to ride the Michael Porter Jr. train at over 27.5 points rebounds and assists in Pistons-Nuggets at 9 p.m. ET. He is recommending Jerami Grant at under 4.5 rebounds in that same game. Larry also likes Robert Covington at over 9.5  points in Blazers-Clippers at 10 p.m. ET.
