Jonathan Coachman is joined by top betting experts Allie O' Neill, Mike McClure, Justin Perri, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get prime plays for the NHL, MLB playoffs, NFL and MMA for Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Larry opens by looking at how the Raiders may actually respond positively to losing Jon Gruden. Las Vegas does have reasons to rebound from a bad Week 5 outing as it takes on Denver.

Andrew Gombas joins the show to provide picks for Dana White's Contender Series 43. He is taking Viacheslav Borschev +120 over Chris Duncan. While Duncan is well-rounded, Borschev is the striking expert and has serious power. He is also going with Kathryn Paprocki +330 over Maria Silva.

Mike delivers his opening night NHL pick, recommending the Lightning in the first period -0.5 over the Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET. He says Tampa Bay will come out hot and Pittsburgh won't be much of an offensive threat against the Lightning. "They're at home, and it's a banner ceremony game here. They've won the last two Stanley Cups but they haven't truly celebrated with the fans because of the COVID situation. This place will be full, it will be rocking," he says. Mike also stresses that the Penguins are dealing with several key injuries. "They have to face the best goaltender in the NHL and the best power play unit that is stuck together for one more playoff run."

Justin has a trio of MLB picks, including the Astros +105 over the White Sox at 2:07 p.m. ET. He says Lance McCullers will be hard to touch again. He is also on the Brewers and Braves Under 8.5 runs at 5:15 p.m. ET. Milwaukee's offense has flamed out at the worst possible time. Justin finishes with the Giants and Dodgers to not score in the first inning at -120.

In college football, Zack is taking Appalachian State -5 over Louisiana-Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. ET. Levi Lewis is not playing well and struggled in this matchup last year.

Larry looks ahead to the Seahawks and Steelers on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET, taking Pittsburgh at -4.5 over Seattle. The Steelers defense has a full week to prepare for Geno Smith, and there will certainly be big-play opportunities to cash in on against the Seahawks defense.
