Today's picks: Expert on 9-1 roll says Astros will beat Red Sox, plus more NBA, MLB and NHL picks for Wednesday

The Coach brings in proven top-flight sports betting experts Mike McClure, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get your prime plays for MLB, the NBA playoffs and NHL for Wednesday, June 9  

Mike opens with a comprehensive weather rundown, as rainy conditions could impact several Wednesday MLB games. Zack then looks at some shifting odds for the NBA Finals MVP and who remains in contention for the award. Larry introduces us to a new SportsLine prop specialist. 

The Coach then issues the SportsLine Plays of the Day from the site models and experts, leading with a pick from the newest expert on the site of Nikola Jokic Under 6.5 assists in Suns-Nuggets at 9:30 p.m. ET. He also highlights the NHL playoff selection of the Islanders +115 over the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. ET. 

Mike's featured MLB pick is the Nationals +150 over the Rays at 7:10 p.m. ET. Shane McLanahan cannot be expected to go past five innings and this will be a strong pitching environment for Patrick Corbin. Tampa Bay is very vulnerable to left-handed pitching. 

Looking to further build on a 9-1 roll, Zack is going with the struggling Cardinals -125 over the Indians at 8:15 p.m. ET. "St. Louis is on its longest losing streak since 2013, they have currently lost six," he says. "But I think it's a good opportunity today. This will not be Shane Bieber on the mound for the Cleveland Indians. You're going to have them facing the relief pitchers of the Indians the entire game. I will back the veteran Adam Wainwright and the Cardinals will snap out of the funk." Zack also likes the Mets -125 over the Orioles at 7:05 p.m. ET, as New York will get another shot to batter former teammate Matt Harvey.

Larry is on his own 9-1 run in MLB, and recommends the Angels -138 over the Royals at 9:38 p.m. ET. The return of Jared Walsh to the lineup will be a definite boost. He is also taking Casey Mize to go Over 5.5 strikeouts in Mariners-Tigers at 7:10 p.m. ET. Mize has been stacking up strikeouts in a big way recently, and he has already showed he can mow down the Seattle lineup. In the NBA playoffs, all the trends point to Deandre Ayton being a great play at Over 25.5 points and rebounds.
