Cleveland 114 @ San Antonio 109 | 01/15 | 1:30 AM UTC

UNDER 221

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Cleveland has one of the NBA's best road defenses and should be in a great spot to keep the score low in Friday's matchup against San Antonio. The Cavs are allowing just 102.6 points per game on the road. Only two of their 21 road games have totaled more than 221 points this season, and both those matchups featured a top-three scoring offense. The Spurs have enjoyed success on offense at home recently but don't have the same scoring upside as the Hornets and Grizzlies.

Dallas 112 @ Memphis 85 | 01/15 | 3:00 AM UTC

Memphis -2

LOSS

ANALYSIS: Memphis is the hottest team in the NBA and has a chance to win its 12th consecutive game on Friday at home. The Grizzlies have won five straight contests by eight points or more and have covered 10 times during their hot streak. Dallas scored 85 points against New York earlier this week, and I don't think the visitors will have the firepower to make this a close game without Kristaps Porzingis. The Grizzlies comfortably beat the Mavericks by seven and held them under 34 percent shooting without Ja Morant the last time the unicorn didn't suit up against them.

Cleveland 111 @ Utah 91 | 01/13 | 2:00 AM UTC

Cleveland +5.5

WIN

ANALYSIS: The Jazz have lost three straight games by double-digits without Rudy Gobert in the lineup and are about to play one of the NBA's lankiest teams. I'm not backing any version of Utah that lost to Detroit by 10. Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, and Kevin Love should have a field day against a home team that only has Hassan Whiteside to deploy at center. The Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five games without Gobert.

Dallas 85 @ New York 108 | 01/13 | 12:30 AM UTC

OVER 204.5

LOSS

ANALYSIS: I'm smashing the over almost every time the total is this low. The Knicks average 105.7 points at home and have cracked 100 points in six straight contests at Madison Square Garden. New York has averaged 108.2 points over its last five home games. I expect Kristaps Porzingis's (health and safety protocols) absence to help Julius Randle get to the rim and power New York's offense after his latest two-point performance. Randle scored 44 points in a game that tallied 226 points the last time Kleber was his primary defender. Kemba Walker (knee) is questionable, and his return could make this line even more enticing.

Detroit 87 @ Chicago 133 | 01/12 | 1:00 AM UTC

UNDER 219.5

LOSS

ANALYSIS: The Pistons have put together some impressive offensive performances to secure upset victories in 2022, but I can't back the NBA's second-worst scoring offense against a Bulls team that's held them under 90 points twice this year. Detroit barely averages 100 points per game on the road, and the total has gone under 220 in 12 of its 20 road games.
