The Prodigy

Don?t let his age fool you, 24-year-old Michael Rusk is no stranger to the industry. He built his name by exploiting flaws in public betting. With his economics and statistics background, Michael uses multiple algorithms pooling with recency bias to produce profitable picks. Sharp action, regression, fading the public and closing line value are all things he considers before finalizing his very selective card. There aren?t many times we are able to back Justin Verlander against a sub-.500 team at less than a 2/1 favorite. Here we have an outrageous mismatch on the mound and at the plate for the Astros on the road Tuesday night. The Astros have struggled for two straight games and are now at a betting opportunity to dominate on the road at a very fortunate line. No one better than Justin Verlander to count on as he has pitched a minimum of six innings in 14 out of his 15 starts this year. If the Astros can put up their MLB average of over five runs per game, we should have no trouble.

There aren?t many times to take the Blue Jays this season, but when they have their ace on the mound at home against the sub-.500 Angels, I like their odds. Marcus Stroman for his whole career has shown a much stronger ERA at home rather than on the road. Despite the Jays struggle for runs, the Angels do not deserve to be the favorite with a mediocre pitcher on the mound who has been nothing but sporadic lately. I like the Blue Jays to scrape out a win Tuesday night.

Brian Johnson isn?t exactly a quality starter for the Red Sox, let alone in the majors. In four games this season, Johnson comes in win a 12.71 ERA. It?s hard to support the 21-49 Orioles, but as an underwhelming underdog at home with a pitching mismatch going to Baltimore, we have no choice. Home underdog it is.

This line is something that Pirates backers have to capitalize on ASAP. Chris Archer not only enters this contest with a 0.64 ERA at Marlins Park, but also with a team that matches up well against the Marlins. Despite winning only once in their past nine games, the Pirates are a much better team, even on the road. Archer should dominate here. His team has won his last thee starts against the Marlins. On Sunday that becomes four.
