One thing Cal can do is defend under excellent defensive-minded head coach Justin Wilcox. The Bears have held six of their last nine opponents to 14 points or less dating back to last season. Cal has not allowed a point off a turnover this season and is second in the Pac-12 in conversion defense with a percentage of 26.2. Offensively, the Bears are very conservative. Arizona is improved this season but in facing a relatively comparable Mississippi State defense managed 17 points and that was at home. I expect this in the mid-40s.
